Just because FiM and EqG ends doesn’t mean your admiration nd enthusiasm for G4 should end with it

Just take it easy.  
Either draw when you feel like it and post after the storm has calmed down a little bit or just post away, someone will always notice.
 
Also, you shouldn’t really draw for the recognition of others but for yourself.

what about season 8-9 latecomers such as myself?
 
I’m just afraid of making fan art and then posting it here only for it to be overshadowed by some emotional crap about the show and EqG ending (trust me discontinuity seems to be the most likely fate for it and from poor sales because of a an uncertain economy) which will both drain me and prolong my writer/artist’s block.

Pretty sure Boulder said they aren’t working on anything EqG related, so unless Hasbro got a third studio involved, the DHX stuff is it.

I think a lot or most people that have joined before S5 will stay for some time after the end of the series.
 
Also there will be G5, which will either keep some in the fandom waiting for it and/or get in new fans, which will then probably watch G4 at some point.
 
There will be some decline, for sure, but some will remain.

me too. and i moreso concerned with the way many fans will take it. especially since many are so obsessed with it, like it’s the only thing that keeps them from ending it all and that’s not healthy. As well as the possible vacating of the community given that many have the mentality that “oh it’s over so my enthusiasm for the show should end as well”,

I feel you, artists/writers block sucks, the worst is if you have so many good ideas but no motivation to actually use them.
 
 
I’m already scared of the post-series depression that will surely hit like a kinetic orbital strike.
 
But maybe it will get me back to writing…

It’s just that I’m suffering from a massive artist’s and writer’s block because of how the rest of the community is reacting and also because i’ve grown unsure.

better in suspended animation than in obscurity. all of that is left to the fans’ imagination. It’s source material now,
 
nothing should stop you or your enthusiasm for it just because it ended. I still like some Dead Videogame IP’s and some shows that already ended.

But it will never be like the first time watching, also it gets pretty boring if you have a good memory.
 
And there will never be new adventures, characters, dialogue and songs. The series just exists in a kind of suspended animation…

You dont have to see it as the end. books and stories all have endings but the bright side is that you can always come back to them whenever you want. you can always be a fan of G4 whenever you wish. always come back to it even when no new content is being created
