I think something just doesn't seem to add up about Grogar, in that he seems to have given up on retrieving it (in favor of trying to get some unspecified "object of power"), when the three of them said they couldn't get it (not that the bell wasn't there), instead of say, trying to accompany them for a second attempt. He _is_ more powerful than the three of them combined, and all.
