Even in the show, she surrendered the alicorn amulet for the other one immediately upon seeing the spell to change gender that the other amulet offered. That’s the spell Trixie really wanted.

Upset yes, but blaming twilight for something that was essentially an accident and not a malicious attempt to break and humiliate them no. The latter is about as justified as punching a blind guy because he accidentally jabbed you in the nuts with his tactile stick

Naw, look at it from her perspective. (I’m assuming MTF, seeing as her constant use of the third person means she constantly uses female pronouns to describe herself, and says her own name, an obviously female name, out loud… I don’t think a trans stallion would pile self-deadnaming and self-misgendering on themselves. Though, if that’s the case, dang, Trixie knows how to pass. Though I suppose appearance-changing magic isn’t all that much of a stretch compared to genderswap magic.)
 
Anyways… she just had her dream put right in front of her- right there, where she could TASTE it. A ticket out of the hell that is gender dysphoria, a ticket out of the persecution that trans people face. And then it got crushed, hard. Into pieces.
 
Yeah, maybe it’s an overreaction when you take into account the fact that she’d actually managed to stealth, but perhaps Trixie didn’t know that she’d managed to pass that well. Perhaps she assumed Twilight had clocked her (read: figured out that she was trans beforehand) and used that knowledge to trick her. She certainly didn’t give Twilight a chance to defend or explain herself, before she ran off.
 
Plus, she’s a performer. Her whole shtick is supposed to be that she’s in the public eye. If Twilight’s defeating the Ursa Minor didn’t publicly ridicule her enough to kick her out of showbiz before (which is… the entire point behind her going to get the Alicorn Amulet…), Trixie letting her guard down enough to come out to what is essentially the entirety of Ponyville would probably be well-placed buck to the face, assuming that trans people are shunned and persecuted in Equestria just as much as they are in the real world.
 
A second round of public humiliation, rivaling or even surpassing the original Ursa Minor incident, on top of crushing her heart right in front of her eyes. I think her being upset is perfectly valid.

Seems like her(his?) anger is very unjustified, it’s not like they knew they were transgender, they were just trying to get that freaking necklace when she started freaking out. But it makes sense considering tricks is most likely very emotionally unstable when I comes to anything relating to there problem

The fact that I can relate to this just makes it even sadder. (Except I’d rather be female)

Th-this… This is… it leaves me speechless. Needless to say, it would be interesting to explore an alternate reality where this took place.

I really want to see a sequel to this where Twilight goes on a quest to find magic that can help her. (Maybe involving the Heart’s Desire plant.)

Also, I should note that many of my favorite saucy pony pics are of Trixie, so I am glad that she is a girl.

If the antagonist in Boast Busters was a male, I doubt he would be shipped with Twilight Sparkle anywhere near as much as Trixie.

One of the other spells they said nopony could do was duplication, even though Mirror Pond did just that. Just because unicorn magic can’t do it doesn’t me there isn’t some other magical force in Equestria capable of that.
