…which I am well behind the curve on because I first saw it earlier today, referenced in an archived VSauce episode.  
A cursory DeviantArt search for “MLP Lego” showed lots of matches of course for all things lego related – but not this exact reference as far as I could tell.I considered it my honor-bound duty to continue ensuring that there is A Pony Version of Everything, and got cracking immediately.  
It’s also a good warm-up considering I’ve been away from Blender for a little while and in fact getting the lighting as close as I could to the originals turned out to be a quite a decent challenge.I still don’t think I have it entirely cracked – something tells me they did some post-processing to either erase or add shadows.

In the pursuit of photo-real authenticity I didn’t simply take the colors direct from the show characters – I deliberately restricted myself to selecting the closest matches from the actual Lego brick palette, just as if I were on-set picking through a tub of fresh new pieces provided by Lego Group.  

 
The left-to-right placement order is not arbitrary, nor is it subjective (i.e. it has nothing to do with my personal “best pony” picks).Can you figure out the logic?  

 
It occurs to me that this could very easily extended to become a series featuring alternate sets such as Princesses, the CMC, or prominent Backgrounders.Drop a comment if you’d like to see this. Let me know which specific sets you’d like to see!
