@Background Pony #F4BA
Not quite.
Just the content by DHX is done.
Boulder already has the franchise now.
Next is to just wait and see what they create.
@Background Pony #DAC1
No thanks to the person who leaked the information which led to many arguments. Honestly, couldn’t they just WAIT until the official announcement? Sheesh! Thinking about that sort of stuff and all these predictions until the official word makes me angry.
Since DHX Media and Boulder Media are the only studios we know of so far and that message was posted under confusion, we’ll just see how it goes from here before jumping to conclusions and joining bandwagons.
There’s not much reason to continue speculating on this so I’ll just leave.
@Photon Jet
Pfft. That’s what they said about Season 9 being the last, and look what happened, Hasbro confirmed it. We knew for over two years it was ending but some fans refused to accept it.
It was confimred that Season 3 is not happening. The licining speaker made a mistake and confused the shorts as a new season.
DHX is no longer working on Equestria Girls(finished a few weeks ago), and this Friday, they will wrap up MLP: FIM, so DHX now has nothing to do with pony.
Boulder Media is not working on Equestria Girls either, they confirmed they are not working on Season 3(And Boulder Media is now owned by Hasbro, they wouldn’t choose another animation studio when they have their own now)
G5 is coming and Hasbro wants to focus all their time, money and energy on that. Hasbro is a toy company, it makes no sense to promote Equestria Girls when MLP G5 is coming, as well as the CGI movie(which is to serve as a pilot to the series)
So yeah, 99.9% sure, both MLP G4 and Equestria Girls will end in 2019.
@Background Pony #8A40
So Hasbro writes the episodes?
Good to know since Meghan McCarthy, one of the founding staff and writers of FiM, is now Allspark’s head of storytelling!
@UserAccount
The folks at DHX/ Boulder will make notes on an episode, but they don’t actually write scripts. They will make notes in regards to gags, pacing, dialogue, ect, but the writers take those notes and make those changes. It’s a collaborative process, but nobody at DHX is actually writing any scripts.
@UserAccount
So, both DHX and Boulder write their content.
So, the summertime shorts, which I really liked, were written by boulder.
Hasbro, now Allspark, supervise the writing and write important episodes and plot points. For example, Cathy McCarthy wrote the MLP movie.
So, Boulder will do fine. Content might be slow at first, and the animation may not be mind blowing, but the same was true of S1, and obviously, that was pretty good if it got us all here lol.
@northern haste
I don’t know. It’s weird, the people who work there talk about DHX as if it’s related to the writing. I think maybe DHX does hire the writers for the show.
MLP is a show that you can tell has more connection between it’s writing and animation than most. The writers and animators seem to be in close connection to each other, as we get lots of funny visual references and gags that normal shows wouldn’t have.
@UserAccount
This guy gets it!
No, it’s time to move on.
It will probably be a reboot if they do anything with it at all.
Not quite.

Denial is not just a river.
your in total denial

many fans are in denial at this point

It’s not confirmed unless The Big Cheese says so.
I’m not sure you understood my comment.
unfortunately you gonna have to accept the fact that hasbro probably decided to discontnue the spinoff after season 2
I really hope not.
So yeah, 99.9% sure, both MLP G4 and Equestria Girls will end in 2019.
Now, Equestria Girls may be rebooted with G5.

And also irrelevant because I’m pretty sure both boulder and dhx are animation companies and they don’t handle the writing
Wrong.
but that was garbage
Best Gift Ever was DHX. You’re thinking of Rainbow Roadtrip.
