Everyone knew Spike/Rarity was just a silly gag from the start, they were never going to honestly make it official. They don’t even bring it up anymore except maybe one quick moment per season. I just want Spike to move on to some dragon or pony else before the final finally of the franchise as season 9 is allegedly going to be. That or Rarity sits him down and tells him that she apricates and loves him like the protective little brother she never had but that’s the extent she can feel for him. Then him maturely accepting this with nothing in their friendship changing for the worse. None of this “Oh Celestia how do I get out of being friend-zoned?!” nonsense. We all know other than when the writers want a laugh, Spike can be very mature and I think he can take rejection like that maturely to. He’s seen the way she rolls her eyes at his few flirting attempts and the way she tends to from time to time talk to him like a child would make this news no huge shock for him. That’s also a good lesson for kids as well about how to react if someone doesn’t like you the way you want them to.
 
Cheese pie being canon would be great to. As much as many people love her I think many would agree chrysalis and all the remaining big baddies either with exception of cozy or the inclusion of cozy, being killed off or banished would be a nice lesson on how friendship can’t help everyone.
 
As for lightning dust I can’t really see a reason to reform her. It could work as a good continuing story theme line for the next gene in G5 with their offspring meeting and either becoming friends or crushes despite the rivalry of their mothers. Corny classic I know but I love me some corn and so do the writers so I can see it happening. Applepear 2.0 anyone?

Yeah. True. You know, I miss the days when MLP was actually focused making sure it was a good show, not making the whole thing just about selling toys and playsets and not even caring about what the fans want. The Tree of Harmony was great. It never should have been destroyed. Or at least it should be restored.

Thats an excellent point. But with the new treehouse the writers probably don’t have a reason to restore it.

What makes you think it couldn’t? It’s the Tree of Harmony. It can grow castles, treehouses, magic maps and elements, manipulate dreams, create simulations, and even talk. Who says it couldn’t regrow?

That is objectively false. #1, #5, #6 and #9 are very plausible, and #11 has already been confirmed that it will happen.

Well, none of these will happen. Best to take Season 9 with a grain of salt and come up with your own headcanon. It will save you a ton of heartache.

Side-note on Tirek, I kind of like the interpretation that he painted this, so maybe he could have being an artist as a hobby too.
 

 
That being said, I don’t think all four of them are reforming, or shifting into neutral territory, and if I had to guess a candidate for not reforming, it’s Grogar.
 
I’d probably be more surprised if Grogar was the one to end up reforming, over the others, to be honest, because he seems like he’s being set up to be irredeemable.

But who wants that to happen? Obviously every villain can be reformed, but why would we want them to be? Without villains, there’s no adventure and danger and entertainment! If everyone’s a good guy, then there are no supervillains to battle! Where would the amazingly evil maniacal episode plots go?

honestly I think the legion of doom would fit in wonderful in equestria in terms of making themselves useful… Grogar could take his magnificent voice into acting(seriously I would love to hear him as a film narrator) or be a local storyteller. Sombra could be an actor for stage plays(he certainly is dramatic enough and has the good voice for it) Tirek would absolutely either be a workout instructor or work at construction sites(dat heavy lifting!) for Tirek working at a construction site would pretty much also be workout sessions… I dont really know what Cozy Glow would do though

Cozy Glow should definitely be reformed, but Chrysalis and Tirek should never be reformed.

Im not gonna watch that episode when it comes nor pretend it ever happen. Im going to keep my beliefs as Scootaloo being an orphan in all my works and hate Jim Miller and his inexperienced writers forever!

why is everyone so against chrysalis being reformed? we saw inklings of friendship in her in the episode “frenemies” so she is gonna be reformed in terms of her reformation friendship has to borrow a quote from thanos in endgame I am… inevitable.

It’s a cross to say “NO to Sparity”. He wants Sparity to be crossed out, as in, put an end to. These kind of charts use green ticks to say “satisfied”.
