You're the one pretending that Discord was secretly a saint. I'm just seeing it for the load of bull that it is.

Discord wasn't tortured, he was thrown into suspended animation, there's a difference.
Not to mention the fact that Celestia had every right to keep him that way considering the fact that he still terrorized her subjects and had no intention of stopping even after his girlfriend was sealed away (if he did he would have left for his home dimension instead of continuously harassing the royal of), if it got to the point where Celestia had to consider using the elements, which was implied to be a last resort for her, then he has no one to blame but himself. So putting that on top of the amount of crimes that he took the blame for, she had every right to keep him stuck like that for as long as she saw fit.
And as I pointed out before, lying and leaving out certain details is pretty much what he does. So of course he wasn't telling the full truth, why do you think he didn't bring this up with anyone other than Fluttershy? Because she's the only one who'd be naive enough to believe him.
