Because she wants to be left alone. Is it right? No. Apogee has every right to want to be a part of her mother’s life. But when you consider how much hurt all of this has brought Delta, can you really blame her? Sometimes the only way you can help the ones you love is by letting them go. That’s the lesson Jet should have learned in the beginning and now Apogee is left to learn it for herself, through no fault of her own.
As for the emotional abuse, Delta has been quick to try and make amends every time she makes a mistake. It’s not like she actually hates Apogee.
