Its not supposed to be a human vagina. I don’t draw ponies with human vaginas. But drawing a horse vagina from that angle is actually not that easy (at least for me) and i experienced a lapse in judgement. I drew what seemed right to me and it turned out to be wrong.

It does seem to be a bit unclear. I don’t remember Gauntlet of Fire in detail but if anything it could be that it goes back and forth to what the plots need. For Chrysalis it should have been a dead giveaway.
It could also have just never been decided among the staff and one writer decided to write it in.
In terms of fandom, it can be according to what the individual content creator wants.
They see something. In Gauntlet of Fire Rarity referred to unicorn magic as luminescent.
Altough I don’t think we’ve ever seen any reference in the show to the shows characters being able to see magical auras, in actuality it seems more like a visual guidance that allows us the viewers to tell who is doing what more easily. In fact, if they could see magical auras things like Chrysalis at the wedding wouldn’t really have happened seeing as her and Cadence’s auras are different.
