Good start. Make ych stuff to be in debates with you, or giving you bribes donations.
Make thematically connected stuff to get people excited.
Open art contests. Events. Patreon. Make “oh dear” something people associate with you. Or oof or make a paperbag pony army. Recruit anon to help.
Do everything. Make your success!

talk to successful artists, the idea isnt just to open your commissions you need to advertise your art.
and that isnt just asking, thats getting your stuff visible to massive amounts of people.
start a comic, pay for advertising on websites, throw pamphlets around time square. run for president.
do something to get your name and your brand out there so people see it.
you cant open a box in the middle of nowhere and expect people to see whats inside.

and i don’t think i have the wrong idea of them… is just, i don’t understand them
when i did my april fools joke, there was [A LOT of] people saying they want a commission, or at least interested in, but when i open commission slots, barely i have bids, usually are only 2-3 people, and one of them is my current-best client

Yeah. There’s a bunch of artists (PBP being one of them) I would love to commission, but I’m just getting by myself, so I can’t really afford to give people money for drawing horse butts.
Some of us are also incredibly paranoid and don’t like having a paper trail attached to our… “habits”.
Nothing personal at all m8, I really do wish sometimes that there was a way I could just give some of my favorite artists 20 bucks without having to sign up for facebook and/or twitter along with patreon where I have to link my credit card which requires my real name and address and probably phone number for billing reasons along with needing to install discord and make an account before I have to give out my real email to make sure I’m not ripping someone off or something just to get some pics of some cute, possibly somewhat suggestive, horses in this dystopian nightmare world.
Alas, this autist’s tinfoil hat remains firmly afixed.
Maybe I should just buy a bunch of dogecoin or something, I really do lament that some artists really do deserve the cash and I don’t feel comfortable paying them when I’d gladly hand them a tenner if I saw them on the street.
Your stuff is pretty cute tho, keep trying to make good content and people will appreciate it and want to support you, just don’t get the wrong idea if they dont, everyone has their reasons and some people are just crazy, like me.
