And for have the same name than r63 Discord. She is a meme because of her name…
When you asks some bronie about “who is eris?” they said “r63 Discord” and if you are so specific adding Princess in the name, that bronie say “r63 Discord who is a princess?”
even Derpibooru confuses both Eris when they adds tags to the images.
That wasn´t Cosmos?
I don´t reminder about IDW promoting her like the most powerful villain… with the covers we can see what IDW trusts more in Cosmos than in Eris, she never appear in any cover, even Discord, her cousin, appear in one of the covers of Nightmare Knights…
Fair enough. There is potential for that.
The only problem about her is that they announced her as the most powerful villain when she wasn’t…
…that good publicity actually turned her into a laughing stock in the end.
I can´t blame them… for how she was defeated, really a editor don´t said “Jeremy… this is so stupid and lazy, give a more convincent way to trick Eris”?
But, Eris actually can have potential like a character, if they writes her like a Pre-reformation Nightmare Moon, a powerful creature with inferiority complex with their familiar, in this case, Discord, makes Eris more deep and makes a conection with Princess Luna who knows about that complex.

Yeah,they have arrived too late and IDW’s reputation was….well,certainly ruined after Sombra’s arc and badly drawn comics.
I will say that IDW focusing on the draconequus upped the quality again. I said that this was a surprise because Eris was considered the weakest part of Nightmare Knights for those who have read it.
Cosmos and Princess Eris deserves some good fanarts, if they are made in 2013-2015, maybe they can gets many fanfics because of their relationship with Discord, you said about Baast but Cosmos and Eris are draconequus, they can add more lore to Discord and answer what is a draconequus.
