It had a “Sonic Boom” comic too, but it didn’t last very long, (especially compared to every other Sonic comic series, even the Knuckles spinoff comics lasted much longer) despite capturing the humor of the show very well actually.

It’s ok, I guess I’m just still reeling from a guy whom used to give me crap on this site for being a Sonic fan. (Let that sink in, bronies “nerd-shaming” Sonic-fans. Kinda ironic, isn’t it?)
 
The games aren’t always buggy, the 2D games are pretty well refined, and the “International” Dreamcast release of Sonic Adventure was less buggy then the original game, and ironically it’s DX & HD rereleases.  
I remember a guy flipped out when I said I had “Sonic Adventure DX” for GameCube, I asked him what was wrong with it, and he began to rattle off every single glitch the game supposedly has.  
I have encountered some glitches in the game, but never any of the ones he mentioned. (I even tried to trigger some intentionally.) Sometimes some exaggerate how “bad” the series is.

Yeah, “Fire & Ice” is supposedly the best Boom canon game. That new Boom canon seems dead now though.

No no, I have no intentions of mocking you, I don’t even know you or anything. And you can like whatever you want of course, I’m just shittalking a little.  
I guess all I wanted to say is just that from what I’ve seen, even from primarily comedy based channels (which I would argue that Dunkey actually isn’t, he makes serious videos too sometimes which are really good, imo), most of the Sonic games are really flawed and buggy, that’s all.

Shattered Crystal was okay at best (though I enjoyed it anyway) and Rise of Lyric was okay by PS2 Beat ‘Em Up standards (not exactly a high bar to clear).  
I hear Fire & Ice is like a somewhat more refined version of Shattered Crystal, though I haven’t played it myself.

I don’t know if you’re trying to mock me, or what, but frankly, I’ve never played/owned any of the Boom games, (just a li’l of the 3DS demo) so I can’t really have an opinion on them. Some like the 3DS games better then “Rise of Lyric” though.
 
Though, admittedly the TV show wasn’t bad, though focused a bit too much on humor usually. Surprisingly, it treated Metal Sonic very seriously.

Personally, I quite enjoy Sonic and the Secret Rings, Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity the nighttime stages in Sonic Unleashed, the Wii version of Unleashed too and Sonic Boom: Shattered Crystal, even though those are all generally regarded as not so good.  
And one of my favorite game reviewers on YouTube, SomeCallMeJohnny, has also admitted that he has come to enjoy Sonic’s story in Sonic ’06.

I think it’s unfair to base your opinion on comedy Youtube videos that often exaggerate how bad a game is for comedy. (In fact, James the AVGN actually likes “Simon’s Quest” IRL.)  
It’s not the same as actually playing the game yourself.
 
I actually rather enjoyed the Sonic series, even some of the “flawed/hated” games like Sonic Heroes, the Shadow game, Sonic Lost World, and even Sonic Labyrinth. I don’t just let “popular opinion” or so-called Youtube critics influence me.

3D Sonic games are pretty hit or miss.  
Though the 2D games are almost all pretty good.  
Not just Sonic 1, 2, CD and 3 & Knuckles, but also the Advance games, the Rush games, Sonic Colors on the DS (which plays like a Rush game), Sonic Mania, etc.
