He was being raised as less than an animal. The cruel thing about his life is the old man allowed his cloned to grow up and develop their own skills before culling them. He also intentionally led them on to thinking they would be his heir.
“House of the Scorpion”?
And yeesh did I despise the main character of that book. They literally did nothing but angst over how bad they had it when they were being raised in the lap of luxury. Yes, they were being raised to be the involuntary organ donor of a Mexican drug lord but they didn’t know that. I mean, they did absolutely nothing for themselves!
That’s why I enjoyed watching Starlight Glimmer being so frecking powerful and reckless with magic these past few years. :p
Or maybe she’s fully aware, but simply doesn’t care.
That does sound like something totally unethical and over the top that Starlight Glimmer would do, keeping magical clones of herself locked up in a dungeon somewhere as backup organs, totally oblivious to the fact that they are all fully alive and completely sentient.
No, only native Equestrians have horgans; the Equestria Girls don’t have horgans, or regular organs.
You meant “horgan donor,” didn’t you?
I’d hit it with a tire iron.
@laofuzi
That reminds me of a book I read many years ago about someone who would create their own clones and be basically immortal by killing said clones to replace his failing organs, until the cook was done with his BS and gave the last clone enough milkweed where it will kill the original if he used that one’s organs, causing the old man to die.
“Nah, it’s okay, I’ll be fine, I grow clones of myself to harvest replacement organs from.”
Your logic is sound.
Edited
No, just her. No one at the orphanage noticed that she went missing.
…d-does that mean the rest of the kids are down there too?
She’s an orphan.
You just need a muzzle to prevent her from eating you.

Dangit I knew someone would say this
