@Background Pony Number 17
I think it’s more about the interpretation, these Twilight and Pinkie’s will be far different from past and likely future incarnations
It’s not like you’re disappearing for good, Pinkie Pie. You were around since Gen 3, and before that as the pegasus called Surprise. Likewise Twilight Sparkle’s roots go back to Gen 1.
You’ll both be around for Gen 5 in some form or another. You’ll look different, for sure, but we’ll know it’s you.
You won’t be forgotten, nor will your friends. At-least not by me or the rest of the fandom.
I’m not about to let go of you all just yet either, or at-least stop interacting with Equestria. I’m in a tabletop rpg group that’s using Ponyfinder and we’re playing in an alternate timeline 15 years post-show equestria. Doesn’t have an official name, but I call it the Equestria Nihilus.
It’s a bit of a grim alternate timeline, but you girls have not been forgotten there and our characters (among other ponies) work to live following the ideals and lessons you taught us.
(And hey, it’s less bleak and hopeless then Fallout Equestria is so there’s that.)
