i wonder if when she extracted him from the cloning tank he was VERY confused do to having all of her memories from up until the moment before she extracted him.  
Dusk: wh-wha? Where am I, where’d the cloning tank go? Who the hell are you and why do you-looks down at himself a-am, am I the clone?  
Twilight: yes, a male clone of me  
Dusk: but…but that would mean that everything I remember didn’t happen to me. I didn’t didn’t even exist until a minute ago holds his head in his hooves i need time to process this

2.) I agree entirely. Why would I be particularly interested in an overweight, hairy female version of myself, and why would she be in me? I know I’m a terrible persona already, why would I be attracted to a version of myself just because the plumbing is the opposite spec?
I know, right?

To both your points:
 
1.) Not only that, but she makes him clean the bedsheets and make breakfast for the “overnight guest.” Spike’s life really is a living Hell.
 
2.) I agree entirely. Why would I be particularly interested in an overweight, hairy female version of myself, and why would she be in me? I know I’m a terrible persona already, why would I be attracted to a version of myself just because the plumbing is the opposite spec?

Funny, but a li’l creepy if you start thinking the clone is practically a twin brother.
What I always wonder is, what happens if you don’t think of yourself as attractive? The clone is basically just another you (albeit an opposite sex version of you), after all. Maybe you’d go through all that work and discover you just have no interest in them at all.
