I don’t know but her redemption was too easy and weak make her and Juniper the worst villains to push aside after reforming never to be mentioned again same with Gloriosa in the digital series

Where did they say that about Vignette? What I’ve seen is the animator (who has no say in this) wasn’t happy, not that the writers are being forced.
 
If there’s a source for Vignette’s redemption being mandated from the higher ups I’m very interested in hearing it.

They don’t have to be redeemed right away though. Chrysalis was not redeemed after her first appearance. Redeeming the Dazzlings should happen towards the end of the series.

Agreed. But keep in mind, that doesn’t fit with “Nobody’s evil” meghan’s philosophy, so I wouldn’t doubt they’re going to make them amiable. Remember, the staff even said that redeeming vignette was basically a mandate from corporate, so its kind of a thing.

given their importance in the “good” ending, I would be highly surprised if they DIDN’T appear.

One thing they could do though is present them as potentially redeemed, with the main characters and the viewers uncertain if they have changed their ways or not, then have them capitalize on a grab for power in an end of credits scene. Them realizing magic is leaking from the Equestrian portal for example, and of course, learning the portal is there at all.
 
The Dazzlings should stay as antagonists for as long as possible.

And would not do the souring some of us have acquired towards redemptions any favors.

I hope they are not just randomly redeemed off-screen. The Dazzlings were some of the best villains in either series, and they could have had a lot more great villainy to give. I always thought their absence was going to have something to do with them plotting their revenge or trying to repair their pendants. I almost wish the Dazzlings were the ones behind the time-loop, rather than two more celebrity OC’s.

Hopefully the special will flesh out the Dazzlings more as I’m glad to seem them back their appearance here seems minor and well lame. But then again the books aren’t known for their quality nor they follow the specials completely.

I doubt they’re NOT appearing in this special due to how important they are– its impossible to get the “good” ending without getting the advice from Adagio, which implies its the “canon” route.
 
Sadly it doesn’t look like we’ll get a “Dazzlings return as story arc villains” type deal.

I don’t know that “reformed” is the right word. They’re still a bit miffed about being banished. The song that Sunset thinks is about the time loop is actually about the monotony of living in Humanland. But they do seem to be getting along better with each other, and they’re not tempted by the prospect of more Equestrian magic in this world.

Sometimes books like this and the Canterlot High Stories have characters that usually don’t appear in the series same for the mlp comics
