Description
Another Equestria Girls commission for someone on Deviant Art , this time featuring Sunset Shimmer. Their idea was that, just after the events of “Friendship Games”, Sunset Shimmer’s brief turn as “Daydream Shimmer” puts her in temporary contact with her friends’ powers. She then gets to have a fun day or so using them to do various things: creating a ballgown, acing a zoology test (with some help from Fluttershy’s animal friends) , baking a masterpiece, lifting incredible weights, and winning the 100 yard dash with ease.The ballgown in panel 2 and the cake in panel 4 are my design The extra racers in the last panel were also created by me.Sunset Shimmer’s gym outfit in the last 2 panels are the commissioner’s design.

I don’t think it’s so much the geode-based powers seen later, though the person who commissioned this never specified. While I was doing this I tended to think of it more in the vein of general powers affected by their personalities- like she’s briefly channeling her friends. On her own I don’t know that she would be able to make a ballgown, for instance, or a very elaborate cake. But I can’t say exactly what the commissioner intended.

I think that would definitely be interesting! I’d love to see it happen. I also wonder what each of them would do if they had the all six of the others’ powers just for a day (like if this comic was about Applejack, or Pinkie Pie, for instance).

4th panel was supposed to be Pinkie Pie, but I think I may have made the pink aura too much like Twilight’s. It was difficult to differentiate between Fluttershy, Pinkie and Twilight, which all seem to be some version of pink. I guess I goofed _’

Chill dude, it’s one comic.
It also wasn’t that long ago that people were seemingly convinced that she’d sooner or later be joining FiM as the mane seventh, because as the central character of the spin-off series, she definitely deserves to jump ship and insert herself directly within the main cast of the main series. And naturally, even though most everyone has since accepted that that ship has sailed (though not without expressing strong opposition towards Starlight for “stealing” her place), the desire for her to make an appearance in the show has never actually died, because she’s just entitled to that as well. Because nevermind that she has a life that’s almost entirely free of hardship, able to live independently in a spacious apartment with no roommate and only a part-time job and evidently not have to worry about finances. Or that she’s popular, somewhat famous, possesses numerous and expanding talents, and has everything going her way. She’ll never have enough until she has what she “deserves”, which may as well be the whole damn universe as far as I’m concerned.
