Still, it’s pretty hilarious knowing that Timber was cowering in terror from Fluttershy retrieving Pinkie’s seaweed-covered “floatie”…
It’s actually funny when you think about it, because it feels like it’s because Flash/Twilight was so badly received, that DHX went like “Okay, let’s try again but different” with Timber/Twilight, only to end up with a ship that was received even WORSE. You can tell that with Timber, they were trying to address some of the criticism given to Flash (being bland, generic, having no involvement with the plot, etc), but apparently, they only paid attention to those elements rather than to try to make an actually compelling chemistry or even make Timber actually likable (instead, he comes off so full of himself, it’s borderline unbearable).
So honestly, no, I don’t think they should break up Timber/Twilight to go back to Flash/Twilight. That only looks good on hindsigh because things got that much worse. They should break them up and drop trying to romance Twilight altogether for once and for all. These romantic side plot tumors have done nothing but hurt the EqG franchise so far, and the best installments of it (Rainbow Rocks, Friendship Games, Forgotten Friendship) are the ones that have none or almost nothing of this bullcrap.
your current filter.Well, if you followed by link, you would know the issue in part the issue is, that Rising Star is by no means a new Crystal Prep boy - he was visibly present during Friendship Games, and even depicts Sci-Twi seeing him (the guy in sun glasses):

This, seeing he is with the cool kids, kinda implies Rising Star was meant to be among the popular kids that at best ignored or scorned Sci-Twi. So yeah he would be quite a “calming” influence on Sci-Twi…And this isn’t the only way Equestria Girls: Canterlot High Stories: Twilight Sparkle’s Science Fair Sparks contradicts canon. Again, more on the link . This arguably makes it even less canon, than some other novels, as comics (which are secondary in terms of canonicity) or novels that contradict the animated canon, or are contradicted by it, are pretty much surelly non-canon.
Also, two other things - Ash never realy had outright girlfiends in the anime, just multiple female companions. He had some shipping fuel with them, with some of them visibly having at least a crush at him (ie Serena), but never was outright depicted in a relationship.

you don’t know anything about that, please leave the characters alone, we no longer want more hatreds for fictional characters. You are treating Timber as a criminal, that is something that writers and / or Hasbro considers all of you as spam and trolls and that is why he hates them all.
timber and sci twi never break that’s not more than a crazy theory, they love each other but what did you think is ruin the show.
Flash x Twilight and Timber x Twilight no of them is popular nor inpopular both are as controversial. the two guys are good persons.
All this is already in the past. twiligth can fall in love whoever, almost all the majority of the characters of shows, had girlfriends and ended their relationships and went their own way.
As Mordecai from a regular show fell in love once with Margarett, CJ and fell in love with Stef
Drake and Josh also had girlfriends and their relationships ended (but josh stayed with mindy)
Ash ketchum also had girlfriends and followed his own path.
that’s called the life of a character. the show is to enjoy not to ruin it.

nobody here is right, You don’t understand about My Little Pony: Equestria Girls: Canterlot High Stories: Twilight Sparkle’s Science Fair Sparks. Twilight been partnered and meet with a charming new Crystal Prep boy but it is not what we thought. that guy just spell her to cheat and lose the project win first prize.
The Canterlot High Stories books are just books to read and to play with the imagination just as the other books above will not connect in a special nor the show. it will only be a few simple books
Well, the thing is the Twilight Sparkle’s Science Fair Sparks novel, might not be really canon, just a side story - especially that even as of the summary, it visibly contradicts canon stuff, and there possibly will be more in the book itself.
Although seeing how Rainbow Dash Brings the Blitz was much better than it seemed, it will not contradict canon as badly as it seems from the summary.

Actually, Timber and Twilight breaking up, isn’t entirely impossible or that improbable - in My Little Pony: Equestria Girls: Canterlot High Stories: Twilight Sparkle’s Science Fair Sparks Twilight will be visibly attracted to another guy than Timber, and act on that attraction. Many doubt the writers would portray Twilight as cheating o her boyfriend (as it would be massivelly out of character, and a poster girl of the series being a pretty bad role model for girls), so many think Twilight and Timber will break up early in the book (or a special connected to it), or in a special taking place before it. While there also might be mind control involved in the whole relationship, the girls and Flash would have be pretty supid to not realize imidatelly something is wrong.
For the reasons why the writers and Habro would do it - Timber x Twilight is very unpopular, because it’s arguably quite badly writen - with even the romance’s own fans admtting it:

Yeah. This fandom is actually well known for giving secondary characters a chance to shine. It was weird for me in 2013 but nowadays I’m so used to it I like to play along at times.
Secondary characters are like a good hot sauce for an already delicious order of tacos.
Yeah, I suspected so, but I just wanted to clarify that some of the side characters, had some pretty neat moments, or even whole storyline basically (with Trixie in Forgotten Friendship). As I’m not sure some people wouldn’t think it’s genuinely the case of non-humane 7 human characters…

Actually, humans aside from he Human 7*, do things, that are helpfull/positive.

I thought the point of them was dying so we can give the audience enought suspense and thrill about the history while avoiding killing the protagonists because otherwise the plot would be ruined.
Or get hypnotized.

I think this is the result of after seeing Twi and her friends destroying his sister’s demonic possession, and him being useless during the whole ordeal in LOE.
