I agree pigtails would have looked good on Starlight however I feel that the writers thought that would have made her look too much like Aria after all star light looks so much like Aria as is but yeah pigtails would have looked cute on Starlight

I get that, I just think that she could have made the pigtails work even if she was an adult. I mean, Aria Blaze has them and she looks pretty good.
I would agree however from my experience when you grow up with something as a little kid and you get bigger you tend to see what you had then as childish and want to change it to something more mature she may have thought of her pigtails as childish and wanted for something more mature plus if you’ve seen the episode with her dad……
