I am pretty much certain she would never eat and animal she interacted with, but much likely she wouldn’t panic over a turkey she never even saw.
Even in Equestria it was made evident animals under the influence of Equestrian magic and non magical ones are different. Which means places such as everfree have some quite edible things.
Well, the dietary preferences of the Humane 7 have never been specified, so it’s certainly possible that Fluttershy may be an omnivore after all. I guess her love of animals makes it easy to create a “Fluttershy as vegan/vegetarian” headcanon. Then again, I don’t think she’d be too happy if someone offered her some venison stew…

If I remember well she also eats at least fish, and I think we saw her having a hamburger in the past. She is someone who sides with nature, not a blind hippie. People who side with nature but are not vegetarians actually include meat in their diet to have a healthy natural system.
Only a small percentage of people are genetically predisposed to go vegan.

Agreed. She’s the animal expert, and she should know that eggs and milk don’t make chickens and cows live shorter lives.
