I think this is an intentional change - Sci-Twi here also is deliberaterly changed to an Earth Pony, as mentioned in the description.

So snuggly and cute, but Sci-Twi got a wrong cutie mark, it was supposed to be the pink six-pointed sparkle surrounded by five small white sparkles, just like Princess Twilight Sparkle.
