Pia was going off of in-episode facts about Spike, which never said anything about dragons growing wings. That was josh haber’s doing and his track record for episodes is pretty rotten since he couldn’t even keep spike’s flying abilities consistent between the two episodes.

Because Spike was the name he was given by a pony. It’d be unlikely that a dragon would think of the exact same name too. :P

The fic is a “what if” scenario about Spike (Greenfire) if he was never raised by ponies and lives by himself. One day, he meets a unicorn named Rarity who was gem hunting in his territory.

…So is there any suggestive bits in that story oooor?
 
Though seriously, its kinda amusing seeing a pony riding Spike since as a kid he did the opposite a lot.

The last time I saw the fic, it only had 2 chapters. I didn’t think it was ever continued.
