Well, some people just want their edgy stuff to be edgy. What they need to remember is that the original grimdark of 40k was actually that gonzo 80s flavor that was very aware of its own silliness. Anybody that can get their hands on a 1st edition rulebook can you this.
 
And let’s be real, heresy is mimetic.

Well, I’m talking about all the comments that have some form of “you’re a heretic” or “this is heresy” attached to them, as if saying it’s not ok for 40k to be “lighter” at times.
 
And while I know some of them are probably just jokes, it’s some times hard to tell the difference between them and some people who think that grimdark is the only thing 40k should ever be.

Why do yall have to always be so stupidly against there being a little bit of something nice in 40k huh?
 
The setting could really use more characters or groups like Gaunt and the Salamanders, people who, despite all the darkness and hate they face, still refuse to let go of their hope for a better tomorrow and care about someone other than themselves.

Now they shall burninate heretics with smiles on their faces.
