Frankly, I’d be surprised (and disappointed) if these rejects Washouts had any credibility left after this.

It would be funny if Lightning Dust’s rocket mishap ends up inspiring more pegasus ponies to sign up and join the Washouts’ roster.

during the Washouts’ show, they announced that they were professionals and to “not try this at home.” I know that was contradicted with the incident with Scootaloo, but it still shows that they at least care about 99% of people’s safety

The difference between the Washouts and the Wonderbolts is kind of like the difference between a big guy with a sharp rock and a team of brain surgeons. Both are capable of opening your skull, sure, but only one has actual professionals and a vested interest in your safety.

Her teammates are capable and more than willing to handle the risks.  
Of course I would prefer if they would take some safety precautions and take care of themselves but that doesn´t make them wrong.

They are working together extremely well and support each others stunts perfectly.

It’s really not teamwork, though; it’s “thinking up some cool stunts and let’s go do them”. It kicks rump as a stunt show, yeah, I’d pay for tickets to watch that, but it doesn’t even approach WWE levels of teamwork in that regard. It’s an episode of Jackass with flying horses, not a Blue Angels or Blue Impulse show.

She does a really good job as captain of the Washouts.  
Just look at the stunts.  
This is excellent teamwork.

I love the character, I think she’s a great addition to the show– since she can always serve as a good example of a bad example– and even though I really wanted to see her reformed I’m still glad she got to return either way, but she is quantifiably bad at teamwork, and you simply cannot get a successful leader out of someone who sucks that bad at teamwork.

She absolutely 100% does not. Being a daredevil isn’t incompatible with good leadership, especially on a team of daredevils, but LD demonstrably and inarguably does not give two toots in a tornado for the welfare of anyone around her, and that most certainly is incompatible with good leadership.

I think it’s a good ending since Lightning Dust is a skilled flier and could probably recover easily. she’s the best!

I’m sure she’s fine. Either she got out on her own or the other two really fast pegasi bailed her out.

One of the best exits in the entire series, I nearly laughed myself off the couch.

Perfect way for her to leave & be gone for good.
