*The Yaks did almost start war all because of a party
*The changelings DID try to take over Canterlot and all of Equestria so it’s understandable why even Shining Armor had developed a grudge against them after that……
*Though this is a rather Petty reason however I do have to agree with you on that seriously…….
the hippogriffs/seaponies were the ones who CHOOSE not to help them especially when THEY needed Them the most and it all happened all because they were TOO afraid TO STAND UP TO THE STORM KING
Though I still do admit that it was rather justified why they would be afraid of that gorilla since he had brought fear to them for years
However because of all those reasons as well as the Storm King nearly invading Equestria (which had just happened only a few weeks ago)
it’s kind of understandable why neighsay wouldn’t Trust them and because of all those facts about them including the storm king part….. then those facts only furthermore proving and validating his distrust

Neighsay: I hope you’re happy, Twilight Sparkle. You’ve destroyed this land! Equestria is dead! Where will everypony get their protection now?! The attacks and invasions will only get worse because of YOU!
Pretty much what genervt said, except I would add:
-A pony tried to plunge the world into eternal night.
-A pony was a dictator over the Crystal Empire
-A pony messed with time, leading to several apocalyptic alternative timelines
-A pony tried to enslave humans in order to invade Equestria
-A pony did most of the leg work for the Storm King
-A pony did whatever the Pony of Shadows was trying to do
Maybe the other species have more to fear of ponies than vice versa.
Except they don’t have to, because friendship. And that’s why Neighsay is wrong.
Also, can we stop pretending that bigotry and nationalism are driven by anything other than fear and bad reasoning? Or that people standing up to racists is “being too political”?

Instead of trying to befriend them or at least leaving them alone he antagonized, provoked and insulted them.
That could have ended in a war.
i don’t want to start but, i think friendship should be for Ponies, Changelings, Dragons, Yaks, Hippogriff and Griffons

-The yaks’ initial introduction almost ended in a war
-Everything Chrysalis-related for the Changelings
-It’s not like the Seaponies were quick to help Equestria when it was endangered
-Dragons and Griffons aren’t exactly the friendly types at the best of times
He’s right in worrying about the safety of Equestria, he’s just going about it in an old outdated manner just so The Power of Friendship can be relevant and give characters who have no business being in politics have a leg to stand on when opposing his views
