They did the same in that S6 episode where AJ and RD were coaching them in that game and Butterball finally blew up at them. They were like this in the baggage car on the train.

at this point this is OOC for pinkie because based on how she usually acts she’d just be hopping around screaming whatever happens to be the least helpful to her friends at the given moment and ideally doing all she can to show how little she cares about everyone who’s not herself
 
But of course Pinkie cares about her friends.

guess the writers didnt do a good job of keeping characters consistent this episode.
