I saw at least one video on YouTube featuring Button Mash and his mother, based on the Jan Animations video. As I remember, while there was no action involving abuse of reproductive organs, it was close enough to pornography. They were was a video of a weird pony game, as I remember, that went that final step.
 
I wonder if Hasbro’s blaming Jan Animations for the videos and games of that type.

True. Hasbro cant claim everything that looks pony related in any way.

if its presented as a different artstyle, then the court would not recognize the IP or they would argue why others are not sued for making ponies in other artstyle, or that hasbro does not own the rights to all equine images

That was also another reason why. After that incident, they changed canon Button Mash’s coat color a smidge, probably for that very reason.

I suppose, when you’re dealing with humans, you’ve gotta expect them to do things that don’t make a lot of sense. I’ve had to wonder if they were trying to protect Button Mash’s image. But, if that were the case, based on what I’ve seen, they missed the target, big time.

The one he got years ago? I think part of it had to do with his animations being a little bit too show accurate (compared to things like Lullaby for a Princess and The Moon Rises where the animation and styles deviates from the show a little).

Any official explanation for the C&D?
