And depicting Derpy as a muffin psychopath that punches ponies over muffins isn’t taking a running gag too far?

Ya that is bad, but it doesn’t make me like a pony any less.
Nah, not even the muffin thing. The way people have her act because of it, like stealing her friends’ muffins and such.
Same problem I have with Pinkie and her love of sweets. Too often do I see it played for laughs at the expense of their friends. All I can think is how sorry I feel for the ponies who hang out with them.
