Okay. This has to be a troll image. The artist used bronies in a second person perspective indicating they aren’t one. Either way, whiever added the bottom text seems to be the only butthurt person in this scenario. Seems kind of uncalled for to just start throwing statements out there like that for no reason.

I don’t feel the need to site anything because I was there, I was at the conventions, I saw the panels. Repeat your criticisms all you want I never stated anything about what wave of feminism we currently are in or if feminism is inherently bad.
What’s happened here is that people have heard a certain piece of information and I’ve heard a different piece of information. This has happened before it’ll happen again, when it does I’ll tell people what the difference is and we can simply disagree as tends to be the case.
But more often than not somebody else takes that disagreement and makes wild tribalistic assumptions about what my beliefs are beyond thinking the show was not politically motivated.
The only thing I have against feminism is that I have yet to meet a nice feminist. Every time these types of conversations come up it’s always accusations and assumptions, never an honest conversation where two people can simply disagree and walk away. Always insults, always rude language, and always an defensive position in the discussion.

Yeah, you’ve proven to be an honest, unbiased person with infallible memory, so we can just take your word for everything you claim. :P No, this isn’t a “he-said she-said” battle like you claim - we’ve got evidence, and you don’t. That’s all aside from the fact you’ve been trying to twist the conversation away from the actual claim anyway - which is that the show is “feminist”, not “politically motivated”. You talk about feminists being rude, yet you’re the one who started it by claiming I have an unhealthy relationship with fiction when I wasn’t even talking to you, so don’t you even.

Unfortunately later statements contradict this. After the show got popular and especially when the spotlight was on the franchise significantly she was asked several times at conventions and interviews if she made a show for girls, and she would say she made a show for families.
So at that point it’s all a matter of what each person chooses to believe, either the show was made with ideological motivations in mind. Or the show was made so that kids would be entertained and parents wouldn’t be pulling their teeth out trying to watch it with their kids.
I’m certain I’m in the minority but I personally view any art with political or ideological motivation in the creative process as less genuine than art made with the sole purpose of being creative and making a story.

Nothing she said contradicted that, you’re just trying to force (uncited) claims from her to fit your narrative that is at direct odds with reality. Something can be both a show for families AND be made with a feminist agenda in mind. Anyway, your opinions about the aesthetics are based on ignorance and should not be taken seriously. ALL art entails something about the creator’s worldview - otherwise it’s not art, but purely mechanistic drivel.

PS: It’s obvious you don’t know the slightest thing about feminist theory, and are instead just regurgitating anti-feminist garbage - that’s clear by the fact you think we’re in the third wave of feminism rather than the fourth, as that’s a claim anti-feminists frequently make, as well as your obsession with “equity”. In particular, Radical Feminism IS for equality, it’s just based on a more complete understanding of what equality entails that previous forms of feminism. The combination of your lack of understanding and that you cherry pick information about feminists that conform to your anti-feminist ideas doesn’t change that.

People who are active in feminism more accurately show definitions of the movements current ideas and goals than the dictionary is. It’s why there are 4 different waves when you look at the history of movement.

The dictionary does not have a definition for a first, second, or third wave feminism.

What the dictionary does is it takes the entire history of the movement going all the way back to probably 1902 and selects one belief that covers a vast majority of the movements existence.

So if theoretically equality has been the core idea of feminism for the last 87 years and equity has been the core idea for the last 15 years then the dictionary definition is technically accurate but at the same time it doesn’t describe the current movement.

Current day feminism has absolutely nothing to do with equality. Most ideology based in identity views equality as a failure and instead works toward equity.

Even if you reject the previous statement feminism and the idea of equal treatment aren’t tied together. People can believe in equal treatment and not be feminists.

The creator of the show openly stated multiple times that the show was made for families. It was made with the intention of being something that kids and adults could watch together.
It was never made with the idea of reinforcing a specific political ideology. If people have convinced you of this you were lied to. There have been lots of shows in the last few years that have been made specifically with the motivation and intention of pushing a specific ideology.
This was not one of those shows.

Just admit you don’t know what feminism is and drop it already.
