This is a perfect example of why “Word of Faust” shouldn’t be a thing anymore. Lauren has had no interest in MLP since she left almost 7 years ago. She doesn’t take any real interest in discussing what could have been.
 
Stop bothering her, people. She’s not going to tell you that her hand-picked replacement (Meghan McCarthy) isn’t doing her vision justice. She’s said multiple times that she doesn’t want to detract from what has been done in her absence. And she’s been gone longer than she was a part of the show. Let her live in peace.

I can’t help but feel for Faust though. Everything she’s done, everything she will do, it’s all gonna be overshadowed by “she helped make FiM what it was”. While I don’t agree with all of her design choices, it is kinda sad to have to predict that Friendship is Magic has become Faust’s FF7.
 
Does Faust still care about MLP? I think so. But for someone in her position, the biggest thing one has to learn is to move on from a project. Staying on FiM for 10 years would not be a sound career choice for someone like her.

Isn’t that exactly why she left the show to begin with? If I remember well, she protested the addition of Cadence. And from then on she left because she could not change the course.

After she left it, maybe. While she was working on it however? Of course she cared. She wouldn’t have put as much work and effort into establishing its universe and characters if she didn’t.

i find her lack of curiosity about others works confusing. whenever i did any job i was looking at how others were doing it. never had any project worked on that others took over but if i did then that’d be even more interesting
