, I wonder if it has my mini-essay about Lyrabon going from roommares to friends to lovers buried in the other page or if that was a comment I left elsewhere.
@TheRedBaronV2
I agree with you, even though I still think you’re an idiot.
Why?
Because subtext isn’t canon. Only foretext is. And when it comes to unedited screenshots, canon is all that matters.
Only the willfully blind pretend the writers aren’t hinting at Lyrabon like it’s going out of style. Likewise, only the deluded believe they’re actually canon.
Because subtext (Lyrabon) isn’t canon. Only foretext (Best Friends) is canon.
Your comments are entirely off topic, and have nothing to do with this image - If you don’t like this image being tagged as a ship, hide it. If you don’t like the LyraBon ship, hide the tag.
And please stop insulting people just because you disagree with them about a ship.
@Derpy Whooves
On the first half, yeah I could have said that a lot better.
Here are the facts:
Lyra and Bon Bon have never been shown doing stuff only couples do.
They have never verbally stated,nor been confirmed, as a couple.
The only “proof” is from someone with little credibility.
On M.A. Larson, no I do not believe he has enough credibility to be taken seriously.
He appeared in Brony Reacts, a series originally made as a parody to the reaction videos by TheFineBros but has turned into a series dedicated to mocking current episodes.
He admitted to using Fan ideas as opposed to coming up with new ideas himself.
Him saying they are a couple goes against what Big Jim Miller says, meaning he doesn’t respect the opinions of someone higher than him.
Also, the fact that the episodes that imply they are a couple are written by him show that he would rather give fan service as opposed to just creating new characters to fall in love with. Or reuse lesser known characters.
Like Caramel, the two pegasi that are sisters, one has a bow while the other looks like she got caught in high winds, Thunderlane, Pinkie Pie (Since her and Lyra are both crazy), Applejack (because her and Bon Bon could make interesting Apple candy, no pun intended.), Vinyl Scratch, Octavia Melody, Derpy Hooves, Amethyst, Cheerilee, Berry Punch, etc. (Basically, it doesn’t have to be Lyrabon for a Canon lesbian couple.)
@TheRedBaronV2
You are not stating facts. You are insulting others here who see this as a ship by saying that they don’t get out a lot or at all, and have not attended school.
That is not a fact - that is an insult. It may be a fact that your opinion of me is that I haven’t “gotten out” at any point in my life, or that I have not attended school.
But you sharing that opinion is an insult. And I am asking you to stop insulting others here - just because you are uncomfortable with this ship does not make it ok for you to insult others this way.
The person who I spoke to is M. A. Larson. We grew up in the same town, so I enjoy the rare opportunity to periodically spend time with him. Do you not feel he has any credibility?
Because, if you did get out a lot and/or went to a form of educational center, you would likely encounter friends who are just as close as Lyra and Bon Bon, but aren’t a couple.
Did the person you speak with have any form of credibility? Or was it M.A. Larson?
@TheRedBaronV2
Since you won’t answer my question, I’ll repeat myself.
You said that you think people who see this as a ship “don’t get out a lot/at all. Or have never attended any form of educational center.”
How is that not intended as an insult to people who think this is a ship?
I think this is intended as a ship, because I spoke with Mitch about episode 100, and he shared the notes he got from the studio about it. They were very funny, and very clear - do you think that it’s “a fact” that I never attended any form of educational center because I see this as a ship?
@TheRedBaronV2

I think this is intended as a ship, because I spoke with the author of the episode about it. Do you think that it’s “a fact” that I never attended any form of educational center?
@Derpy Whooves
Um. I actually do get out a lot and have been to educational centers. And I am not desperate for ships not to be Canon. I honestly wouldn’t mind if it was revealed they are a Canon couple. The point is, they haven’t.
I’m not breaking Rule #0, I am merely stating the facts.
As I said, I do not have a problem with the ship, its shippers, nor homosexuality. My problem is merely against those who go out of their way to force others to believe it is Canon. And when someone comes along and puts the facts on the table, they resort to insults.
Another user made a similar comment like mine on a edited image of Rarity and Applejack.
Another issue is the simple fact that this image is incorrectly tagged as shipping and lesbian, despite there being no obvious evidence.
@TheRedBaronV2
On the other hand we have people like yourself who are desperate for ships to not be canon, or don’t get out a lot, or who have never attended any form of educational center.
Having recently re-watched the episode, I still do not see this as confirmation that they are a Canon couple.
Here is my interpretation of the scene:
Lyra and Bon Bon represent friendship, often the starting point for most relationships. This one isn’t really a relationship as very few friendships, especially in this day and age, actually become relationships.
Maud and Mudbriar represent boyfriend/girlfriend, a uncommitted relationship that may or may not last.
Cranky and Matilda represent Husband and Wife (Marriage) which is a committed relationship that is more likely to last.
With all this in mind, I’d like to point out that I do not have a problem with the ship, homosexuality, nor people who like the ship. My problem is with people that assert that it’s Canon using evidence that, quite frankly, I have seen best friends do. SpongeBob and Patrick, anyone?
In my mind, these kinds of people are either very desperate for their ship to be Canon, or don’t get out a lot/at all. Or have never attended any form of educational center.
