Yeah, that was my initial reaction to too.
Unfortunately, Red (Sunny’s/Trash’s owner) and Shino (Delta’s owner) had a falling out, and the ship officially sank as a result.
It’s sad for those who liked the ship, but the cruise was fun while it lasted.

I say, best option, Delta gets back with Jet, and Trash is the family friend that lives with them.
At least Jet is trying to make up for his past mistakes and want to help Delta. Honestly, Delta looks seems like a bitch that rather complain about having a ruined life than do anything to improve it.

Still, Trash deserves better than Delta.
I wouldn’t say make you parent material as much as, say, is a bonus. Especially considering Delta doesn’t really want to deal with Apogee, but also doesn’t want to just leave her be. She loves Apogee, but Delta’s stressful life (which is mostly self-inflicted) causes her to get frustrated easily with the filly.
I can’t help but see flaws in that logic, like how being friends with Delta’s daughter seems like a weak excuse since that logic would mean that any friends you have that’s older than you would be parent material, and that willing to put up with someone’s bs can also apply to great friends.
It’s quite clear why. Trash is the only other mare that puts up with Delta’s tenancies. Trash lives in Delta’s junkyard. Trash is a beautiful mare under all the filth that gets caked onto her. Apogee and Trash both get along so well, and it keeps it so Delta can get more relaxation done.
Trash is the perfect mare for Delta, if Delta is still unwilling to just let things go and get back with Jet, which is what the whole family deserves.

When Trash was made, she was living in a literal dump, eating garbage (including things that aren’t even edible, like metal and plates) and covered in so much filth that her coat turned grey and her mane and tail turned black.
It’s quite possible that the artist and/or owner of Trash has made it so that when she actually bathes, her body dramatically changes. The filth and dirt naturally change her cutie mark.
It’s also very cute with that little heart on the panties :3
