You’re looking at this from the wrong angle. A broken unicorn isn’t akin to a man in a wheelchair. That stump is shown in the movie to be massively unstable, as well as dangerous to both her enemies and herself. While at the same time, unicorns’ sole usefulness is in its horn. It would be just pegasus that lost its wings, we see how much of a problem it is for Scootaloo, who still has her wings but completely lacks the ability to fly.

Plus we’ve seen how openly racist the unicorns can often be long before Gen 5’s propaganda stuff.

Finally, this is Trixie insulting Tempest right now. We’ve seen plenty of times that mare has no sense of common etiquette at all.

Which is stupid. That’s like telling someone they don’t matter for heart/mind/soul within them. They only matter for their functioning body part. Makes me think of something I read somewhere where a character had some physical/mental problem. They claimed that they choose not to look at their problem as a disability, but rather that they are simply able to accomplish things different than most others.

Humans aren’t defined by a big magic boney horn sticking out of their foreheads; Unicorns are.

What get’s me is that everyone notices/comments on Tempest’s horn, but they don’t blink an eye at her eye scar! That would be highly unlikely missed if it was on a human woman. Especially 1st World countries where scarification events are far lower than in 3rd World countries.
