Lightning Flash (or just “Flash” to his friends and family) is the second born son of Rainbow Dash and Soarin as well as the younger twin brother of Trailblaze. While the two brothers were growing up, the two of them ended up having different interests: Trailblaze wanted to grow up to be a stunt flyer, while Flash was more interested in things having to do with the weather. As it turned out, helping make the weather ended up being his special talent, and he soon ended up joining Ponyville’s weather team. He’s in charge of helping bring in the rain whenever it’s needed, which is a job that he takes rather seriously, as he knows how important it is. Flash is admired by his fellow pegasi due to hard-working nature and all around friendly personality.

On days off, Flash can often be seen with his little sister Iridesca, often giving her flying lessons and occasionally accompanying her on whatever CMC-related adventure she has planned with her friends. He’s also very close with Applejack’s daughter Tarte Tatin, and the two of them have recently started dating.
