Overcast is a very cheerful, peppy mare despite her name. She’s the mom friend of the group and is very nurturing and caring to those around her. She will do ANYTHING to help or save her friends if they’re feeling down or are in danger.  
Unlike her parents, Overcast isn’t really into sports or getting really competitive. She’s a natural born athlete but it’s just not her style. She’d much rather be on the sidelines cheering others on and being there to help them if need be. She spent some time as a cheerleader when she was younger but found that she liked to be a trainer, ready to tend to any injuries on the field.  
Cass is also a health nut and while she is very kind, she does had a tendency to nag. She’s somewhat of a control freak and likes to have her ducks in a row at all times (her friends being the ducks). She gets a little worked up when her friends don’t listen to her or take her advice.
 
Relationships:
 
Overcast loves both her parents but would easily classify herself as a daddy’s girl. Soarin’s a very supportive parent who is of the thinking Overcast should be able to make her own choices, be independent and be able to pick herself up again if she fails. Rainbow on the other hand, is still supportive but will keep trying to get Cass to do things she doesn’t necessarily want to do. A big thing being sports. Rainbow sees a lot of potential in Ovecast as an athlete and thinks she would like doing sports if she’d just stick with it. There have been times where Cass would go on strike during games because she really didn’t want to be there.
 
Sunshine and Overcast are besties and spend a lot of time together. She loves hanging around with him because of how genuine he is and how good of a listener he is. He’s extremely attentive and that satiates the control freak in her. She’s often the test subject of his magic practice but she doesn’t mind. She’s also his study buddy and while she doesn’t understand anything dealing with magic she enjoys spending time with her friend.
 
Something about Geode Glitz rubs Cass the wrong way. Maybe it’s the way she carries herself that makes her seem like she’s above everyone else? Maybe it’s because on the outside she’s just TOO perfect? Maybe it’s the way she’s able to command a room so effortlessly and Overcast is just jealous? Or maybe she’s just too pretty and confident and charming and– um… anyway, Overcast isn’t petty, or at least outwardly petty, and the way she sees Geode hasn’t had much of an affect on the dynamic of their friend group.
 
Overcast absolutely adores Anjou Apple. When the two of them are together, there’s no one they can’t cheer up! They’re just TOO SWEET. Their moms would often pit them against each other when they were kids doing sports because even after all these years they still haven’t let go of their friendly rivalry). Regardless, they grew up to be very close with no rivalry whatsoever. Overcast is often around to take care of Anjou because she’s so clumsy and accident prone.
 
Parade Float and Overcast have an interesting dynamic. They’re extremely friendly with one another but he also really likes to push her buttons and take little jabs at her. She’s not really a fan of it and has a hard time taking a joke but she can never stay mad at Parade. They spend a lot of time together simply because they’re the only ones in their friend group with the same high energy and the only ones capable of keeping up with each other. One will often see them whizzing around in the sky and working out together.
 
Overcast and Flower Crown, while still very different, find a lot of common ground on things. They both specialize in helping others and like to pick each other’s brains. Flower’s free spiritedness gets to Cass sometimes but she excuses it since flower’s the youngest.

Overcast’s talent is basically being a physical trainer. She has a great understanding of sports medicine and specializes in taking care of sports injuries.
