You are trying way too hard. You either have the understanding of subtlety that's the equivalent of a toddler or you're blind. That scene had overtones so strong it made the ones in Charlie brown look like child's play. The only reason they didn't go full on confirmation of it was because they would lose the airings in china and Russia.
Also your whole everyone is straight until proven otherwise theory is laughably ridiculous what are you even basing it on? How campy the characters are? That means nothing gays aren't some overtly insipid stereotype in fact considering how the show seems to be balanced towards more females in higher ranking positions than in our world the sexual orientation numbers could be reversed as well with gay couples being the majority, not saying it is but there's a possibility.
