If what the leaks said is true, and they don’t change things, G5 looks like it could be very interesting. It’s very possible that it’ll actually be really good.
 
Also, they said that they’re continuing Equestria Girls after season 9 ends, so maybe the EqG world will expand to include the world of Equestria.

And just like that, he sent the fanbase into a speculation frenzy.

Headcanon that i’m pretty much rolling with:
 
Jackpot is as we know a “relatively” famous magician, He’s and Trixies mother had a run for awhile which lead to her birth. Her father however still preferring the allure of the limelight didn’t stick for very long. Leaving her mother to have to take care of them. There were two other things he left behind though, A worn out magic for foals box, and a picture of him. Trixie grew up with a very low self-esteem and a hard life feeling that she and her father disappearance was related to her not being good enough.
 
Trixie practiced endlessly with the stuff in the magic box in hopes to one day be good enough to take care of her and and her mother, while also hoping that it’d make her be closer to her father, Maybe one day her father would see or hear about a new great and powerful magic, maybe one day he’d have visit.

I really expected this question to go like this:
 
BRONIES: “So is this guy Trixie’s dad?”
 
BIG JIM: “Just friends.”

And it was also planned to end with season 3.  
There is a good chance for season 10 or more.

More seriously,it’s fine,they got a full decade and by experience show that last more than one decade scrap the bottom of the barrel or become ininteresting (Supernatural,Grey’s Anatomy,THE SIMPSONS,Family Guy)  
Plus believe me ,they’re 100 % serious,MLP is going to end after season 9.The reason for this is that they need to cater to the next generation of little girls.The generation that grew up with MLP is now too old for baby toyIf you look at the past,MLP have changed gen roughly every decade (80s is G1,90s is G2,etc etc until we reach the gates of the 2020s and the upcoming G5)  
It’s going to end,Dont be sad because it’s over,be happy because it happened and that htey wont reach a point where they had to answer to a nobody Indian comedian taking potshots at Apu

Honestly ending the show could be postponed a season or two, if Hasbro wants to. And since the toy sales are still going strong they could choose to keep G4 going and postpone G5 by a few years.
 
Remember, most of the leaked info were all up in the air, just plans that were made up and are subject to change.

Well, as much as I’m sad that MLP would not last that long…. You have a point. Looking at how lifeless The Simpsons nowadays, it will be better to have it end but leaving a good impressions to the fans.
