The funny thing is, “daredevil” in Russian is not “дерпибуру”, it’s “сорвиголова”(sorvigolova).
And Bulgarian somehow adds belly rubs.
Serbian is 1:1 to Latin so each Cyrillic letter has a Latin equivalent. This is because Serbian has an official transliteration.
Russian to Latin is based on transcription. Instead of each Cyrillic letter being 1:1 to Latin, it instead tries to base it on pronunciation to English spelling. As we know, English is of course the best language to base pronunciation on /s.
