Keeping in mind that I don’t think DHX/writers knew that Disc Fam were going to have a summer hiatus while this was still a fixed point for release, it would have overlapped better (S5 finale would have aired or just be airing the same day). That’s my guess.

It was a joke by the end of the movie and yeah it was a little dumb to seemingly spoil the S5 finale. Though I think thanks to SDCC the alternate timeline thing was pretty much a given. Still pretty dumb they spoiled it for the people who avoided the news from SDCC.

Yup. And that I think is going to be connected to the S5 Finale if the rumors that Starlight goes back in time to f’up them getting their CM. Totally plausable.

For those that haven’t seen this, Pony Twi says she was busy with a time travel loop and couldn’t get back to Sunset (who was writing to her the whole time), and then she finds her twin here.

There’s an actual self ponidox in this movie? Color me hyped!
