Trixie lead a decent life and moved to a rock farm out of desperation(which is implied to lead to a shitty life), Pinkie was born on the rock farm, and moved to a place where she can have decent life.

So most of the fanfics that depict Trixie’s life taking a downward spiral were pretty accurate. Though this canon outcome is a little more milder.  
And rock farms. Are they like mines or do they literally grow rocks from the ground?

Trixie’s life went down the shitter and she ended up working for Clyde as a last resort to make money. Pinkie Pie was simply living with her family.

This is actually a perfect showcase of how bad Trixie is. Pinkie Pie worked on a rock farm her ENTIRE CHILDHOOD, and turned out to be nice. Trixie did it for some short amount of time, and now she’s evil.

It’s fucking Pinkie Pie. The Girl is ADHD in a meth pipe, and her whole “that’s how Equestria was made” bit certainly didn’t help.
