I get you, my dood. I have no interest in 4chan itself, but these matches are damn fun to watch, and on top of that, there is some EXTREME salt that comes about when /mlp wins, which is a fun bonus. I can't explain fully why I enjoy these when I absolutely despise sports in general. Must just be that I feel a far stronger connection to a board that pertains to my interests (/mlp) as opposed to just "a sports team from my state". Also the customized models and picked songs for the goal horns is always fun. XD
As the years have gone on, I have found myself watching more of the matches though, and side-cheering for teams like /vg and /o for their goalhorns and the like. It's not anything I get too deeply involved in, but it is something enjoyable to watch when it comes on~
