Applejack’s skirt, in both incarnations, has been probably the best design choice in the entirety of Equestria Girls. For that matter, Applejack consistently seems to be the best dressed human almost all the time in the series, though the the new outfit is definitely the better of the two.
 
If there was a character I did want to give pants/shorts to, I’d want Rarity with pants. Neither of her outfits have wowed me, and something… pantsuit-y would be up her alley. I also think the worst new outfit of the new set is Sunset’s. They had her perfect in Friendship Games, then they had to change her outfit again.

I kinda wish Hasbro would update her new design better. But I guess outfit #2 is fine with me

They should really give AJ some jeans in the next outfit redesign

Not only does it fit the whole cowgirl motive but it also shows that she knows what she likes and does not go with every trend.

I prefer #2 more.
