Almost every incident that gets called a ~mass shooting~ in the US is either gang violence or end-stage domestic violence, not the kind of high profile massacre perpetrated by a lone psycho going for maximum bodycount that those who say things like “mass shootings have become so routine” are trying to make people think of. That happens fewer than ten times a year.
