You know abandoning and shunning her would only make things worse right? In fact that was the cause of her downwards spiral. So doing such a thing would be incredibly stupid. And a self fulfilling prophecy at that.

Damn straight he was right to be afraid. He is in fact still right to be afraid. Starlight Glimmer should be abandoned and shunned and relegated to Tartarus.

Well… fuck. I always thought Sombra was the most evil of all Gen 4 villains. He’s not as powerful as Tirek or as cunning as Chrysalis but his magic revolves around emotional anguish. They make illusions that torture others. Its probably why they killed him off so early because of how saddistic and cruel he could potentially be. Ironically, that’s also the kind of villain that you need for a show that’s centered around friendship.

You have no leg to stand on, Starlight. You did horrible things because you were “just sad”. You, of all ponies, don’t get to make light of depression.

I also don’t see Starlight being that mean as to mock him for being a complete failure.
 
Starlight was so fearful of getting a bit miffed at Trixie that she ripped the anger out of herself. She’s afraid of losing people.

I’m not buying it,  
Sunburst is the type who is naturally clueless and would even choose to ignore a problem rather than feel pressured and uncomfortable. It’s kind of why he hurt her (in canon) and also why she kind of loves him.  
She couldn’t stand it if he was just another person judging him and act as a constant reminder, but he’s blessedly slow and naive, still seeing her as the filly he knew and needing long explanations to understand anything that happened to her in between.
