Well, the upcoming special, based of what I saw in the novel, actually brings up that her short temper is a flaw that she still needs working on because it pretty much led someone to conclude she hadn’t really changed from her persona back in the first movie, so… yeah, it could be argued that her short temper, even despite her maturity, is her biggest flaw, which sometimes is played as a minor inconvenience (I mean, not every mistake we make is a fatal one), for laughs, but sometimes it can play into something bigger, like in this special, or how in Rainbow Rocks and Friendship Games, it helped push the situation that much further into its darkest hour.

I mean I give credit to Mirror Magic that at the very least the rest of the cast are actual characters in it unlike in the season 6 finale but even so it’s still the Mane cast being taken out so that Starlight is the only one to be able to save the day. It’s basically the writing favoring Starlight to be the one to save the day.

That’s why I prefer Glim Glam any day of the week, she is authentically flawed and her errors are commonly brought back during the series to point out how much she has grown.
No… Starlight’s flaw is that she can’t common sense to save her life (when she’s in character, anyway, which is rare).

Exactly, if Sunset holds any blame for what happened to Twilight, she still comes after Cinch, Crystal Prep, and Twilight herself.

Another thing I would like is that her short temper can actually make something interesting. For example, a villain that wants to morally break the humane 7: The villain knows about Sunset’s anger issues and does everything to break her from the inside, while Sunset must learn to control her anger so she don’t fall to the dark side….again.

Everyone gets angry sometimes. Not everyone has magical overreactions that cause problems for others. None of Sunset’s outbursts even cause any problems by themselves, it’s hard to take this as a serious “work in progress” compared to some of the other’s flaws, especially Starlight’s.
And Starlight’s flaw is that she abuses magic to solve problems sometimes?
