My Little Pony - 1992 Edition

What color would you say that make up her eyes? I think they are redish-brown sclera and amber irises with black slither pupils, but I could be wrong. What do you guys and gals say?

Frustration in Excelsis
Notoriously Divine Tagger - Consistently uploads images above and beyond the minimum tag requirements. And/or additionally, bringing over the original description from the source if the image has one. Does NOT apply to the uploader adding several to a dozen tags after originally uploading with minimum to bare tagging.

Worldbuilding Addict
This puts me in mind of a rather good story I read just today, actually, How to Break the Day. I won’t go into too much detail because I don’t want to spoil the story for anyone who might care to read it (and I do recommend it), and obviously beware of spoilers ahead, but the basic idea is that Celestia and Luna are discussing Daybreaker and Celestia’s hypothetical reasons to fall, the day after “A Royal Problem”. Whereas Nightmare Moon was born out of Luna’s bitter jealousy at nobody paying attention to her, Daybreaker would hypothetically come from Celestia snapping under the pressure of constantly maintaining her perfect ruler facade, denying everything that makes her herself day in and day out to always be what other people need.
 
So she stops caring and decides that she wants to please _herself now, she starts breaking rules and breaking traditions and soon enough she’s breaking ponies. An unfettered monster seeking nothing but her own pleasure and amusement, who does not care one bit about how her actions affect anyone else. To me, that is a truly terrifying and compelling villain.
