Description
This time, we get a glimpse to the near past, way before Lyra set hoof in Ponyville! This side-story is gonna be a few pages long, and features how our favorite gray pegasus have met her future adoptive daughter. It was a lucky accident. Also, she runs on hugs, apparently.
I was in a hurry finishing this (work-related reasons), so I didn’t really have time to ask for assistance from the good folks at Heartstrings-HQ, but I’ll try to make the next one more of a group effort.

This was a particularly busy semester for me, and the next one doesn’t seem much lighter on work either… we’ll see. I was playing with the idea of switching the graphic style to 3D rendered (with a nice cel shader, like https://www.derpibooru.org/1512757 . I really love Galawaille’s style of doing this. But then, although it would be easier to pose for action, I’d still have to build the scenes, and that might be less work in 2D inkscape.)
How goes the comic?

I envy you then, because we already had our first snow storm here in northern NB with 20cm of snow and gusting 110 km/h winds. Pretty crazy down here.l lol.
Here in Eastern Europe it’s pretty much late Summer… I can’t even remember when was the Day of the Dead this warm in the past.
Until the platforms decide to expand it to the rest of the world, because hey, it’s already “working” in the EU…

Nah, born and raised in central/eastern EU. I’m getting more and more reasons to move away though, but that won’t happen for more than a year or two.

I had to work 3 FLIPPIN WEEKS (24*/7×3) of 8 hour shifts in a row and had no time for myself or anyone else, so I kind of know what you’re going through (Work wise).

Well they’ll either enforce those laws or just pull support from countries under the EU entirely to avoid paying for licenses.
A new EU directive on copyright that basically kicks fair use in the guts, forcing media platforms to enforce a draconian filter on uploaded content that may (or may not) be copyrighted. So I expect such platforms (e.g. tumblr, deviantart, etc.) to crack down on show-realistic comics as well (at least in the EU, where I currently reside). I do hope that I’m wrong on this and it won’t be this bad (or any worse). Time will tell.
