Everyone has reasons why they are doing what they are doing. It's a combination of how our brain and body came to be through factors that we didn't choose and the environment we were born into which we didn't choose either. Sometimes the reasons why we do "bad" stuff is because our genes or hormones or whatever behave in a certain way or we had some kind of event or circumstances that made us act like this. At some point we invented the concepts of justice, revenge and punishment.

Do "bad" stuff and you get "bad" stuff done to you. It works because it hinders people from doing it. Sometimes we make exceptions to punishment because some person has a certain mental illness which means their brain functions in a certain way or we find their backstory relatable or sad or we find the person relatable or whatever. It's all the same.

However, sometimes it can be a good thing because some people can be "corrected" more easily. In a world of ponies and friendship even more so. I guess you could say that my "way" is a petty way to look at it. I was really just commenting more on the fact that you corrected someones words. I meant that getting what's coming to someone is an accurate saying if someone commited crimes independent of what happens next so the mane six forgiving her would be irrelevant to the saying itself. It was a bit weird to me that you would correct their comment like that if you knew what they meant.
