I love and respect Faust and her but she’s not some perfect infalliable goddess like how some people would like to act like she is. I like the first two seasons too but I honestly think the show has gotten better post-Faust.

Wonder Over Yonder was cancelled by Disney and the Medusa film was put off by Sony Animation in favor of garbage like The Emoji Movie.

In that I agree with you, the truth is that Faust left MLP a long time ago, really the best episodes and the best time was after his departure, until she herself accepted it in a statement when she said: MLP is in good hands.

She literally worked on a season and a half before quitting. The season 1 story arc was more boring and childish than anything that came after it, not that it wasn’t still good. But it’s not the amazing, well-written idea everyone seems to think it is.
 
Lauren’s best idea outside of actually creating the Mane 6, Celestia, Luna and Equestria’s history was Discord as a villain. The episodes she actually wrote herself are frequently cited as mediocre at best because the story doesn’t really draw you in until after The Ticketmaster.
 
To say Faust’s hand in the show is frequently overrated is an understatement. She created the world and the characters, not the story.

Even if they got her to ride herd on the staff again it’s too late. The damage is done. The consistency of the setting has long since been compromised and everything has veered far, far off course.
