Let’s take this for example. There was a friggin Drama in the comments going as far as having to Close the comment section. But the downvotes are still really damn low. Why? Because the artstyle actually fits and the different dark skintones look good on the characters.
 
Not saying this artstyle is bad. I really like rainbow dash and fluttershy here but come on.

They’re supposed to be men and/or trans, right? Except maybe rarity?

Which leads to humanized Sapphire Shores being about as white as me, amusingly enough. And leads to humanized Tia and Lulu being different races, which I’m more than OK with.

I would share a specific example of the human 6 that has a higher score despite being miles behind this artist in actual artistic skill by every conceivable measure, but I don’t want to pick on that other artist. It has a negative score, but it is still higher rated than this. And that other image has no nasty comments or criticism.

Rainbow looks like a skeezy gangbanger, Applejack’s a zombie with clown feet, Fluttershy’s androgynous enough that she can’t pass for either type of model, Twilight looks like your stereotypical Indian Facebook stalker, and I don’t even know where to begin with Pinkie.

What i don’t like is pinkie pie…not meaning it in a racist way but i really dont like her here. For me very dark skin colors just dont work on her. Maybe because of her usually bright colored attire? I have no idea. I saw some lighter latina like skintone Versions of her i actually kinda liked but besides that…eh. Again just my two cents nobody really has to give a shit about.

Yes, especially ignore the ones who gave actual criticism as well, they’re the worst.

I love seeing the different perspective artists have on the characters! Very unique approach. I think their outfits suit their personalities pretty well. Fluttershy and Rarity are my favorites in this bunch. Love the hair and oversized sweater for Shy and Rarity is very stylish as usual.

Looks fine to me. I think some of you are bored and looking for something to bitch about. Yes yes, it’s just your opinion. Well this happens to be the artist’s interpretation of the Mane 6, which quite frankly, isn’t much different from what we usually see.
 
Artist, do as you wish. Ignore the morons in the thread.

The major problem is with color, a humanized pony’s skin color’s brightness should be equal to the pony’s coat color’s brightness, and none of them have dark enough fur to qualify as a black person. Luna has reasonably dark fur, so too does Tempest Shadow (Although I’d make her skin a tannish color, not black, as she isn’t that dark) and Sombra… but Pinkie!? really.

I like it it’s not by any means perfect but still good art.

Why’s Rarity the only one that looks even the slightest like a girl?
